The Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy
Founded in 1991 by Stuart Korth and the late Patricia Ferrall, our charity with just a handful of dedicated volunteer osteopaths and a dozen patients in a makeshift hospital ward. Within a few years, we became the leading name in Paediatric Osteopathy, and have come a long way since then.

Our mission
- We train skilled and knowledgeable osteopaths in the specialism of Paediatrics
- We conduct research into the benefits of osteopathy for children
- We provide free osteopathic treatment to babies, children (up to 18 years of age) and pregnant and postnatal women at our dedicated London clinic (Osteopathic Centre for Children). We don’t charge fees for our appointments, but as a charity, we ask each family to donate what they can to help us keep our clinic running.
Our holistic approach, underpinned by expert anatomical and developmental knowledge, has allowed us to treat over 88,000 babies, children and pregnant & post-partum women since 1991.

We’ve awarded 300 Diplomas in Paediatric Osteopathy/MSc (1991-2025).
Kindness principle
We believe that kindness is inherent in the good practice of osteopathy.
It takes many forms, from ensuring an inclusive and supportive atmosphere, to offering our treatment sessions free of charge. We never turn away a family who cannot afford to pay, so we encourage those who can afford to donate towards the cost of their treatment to do so. Many of our families give generously to our cause and fundraise on our behalf.
Further strengthened by our collaborative team of osteopaths working together for each patient’s care, we ensure that every family feels supported and heard. Many of our skilled osteopaths kindly volunteer their expertise to benefit those who can’t access osteopathy in private practice.
All staff members are trained to be compassionate and sensitive. Each family is different and has a unique story to tell. We listen.

Osteopaths treating a young child at our open-plan clinic in London Bridge
"The osteopaths here really care, they have a passion for wanting to improve the quality of life of the patients. They don’t join the clinic for financial gain… so it attracts a particular sort of person who wants to really treat people from the heart. We all have the same mind-set and that is so rewarding and, I think, very powerful too."
