Gentle Support From The Very Start
Our osteopaths are specially trained in cranial osteopathy for babies, and may use these extremely gentle techniques – suitable for the youngest of babies.
Treatment can support breastfeeding & latching, promote general comfort in the baby, and support natural movement and development. Osteopaths sometimes work alongside lactation consultants to give postural advice related to breastfeeding.
We always ensure both parent and child feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout. Appointments at our open-plan clinic are calm, unhurried, and focused on keeping your baby comfortable at all times.
We also provide up to 6 sessions for post-partum or pregnant mothers; many new mums find that receiving treatment alongside baby is particularly effective. Find out more here.
Supporting Growth & Development
As children become more active—crawling, walking, running, and playing—their bodies are exposed to new physical demands. We tailor every session to suit your child’s age, activity level, and individual needs.
Osteopathy for children can support postural development, healthy movement patterns and improve coordination and balance. Osteopaths are trained to screen for medical conditions and will tell you if you need to see another health professional such as your doctor or midwife.

Osteopathy for Teenagers: Helping Teens Stay Active and Balanced
Osteopaths at the OCC are specially trained to support teenagers with a variety of concerns. As teens often experience rapid growth, higher physical demands from school and sports, and increased screen time, osteopathy can provide physical and mental relief.
Our osteopathic care for teens can help with:
- Back, neck, and shoulder tension
- Posture-related discomfort
- Sports-related strains and recovery
- General physical and mental relaxation
We provide a supportive, professional environment where teenagers feel comfortable and understood.
We also have after school appointments available for older children. Please ask our friendly Reception Team at the point of booking.
Osteopathic Centre for Children: Proud To Be A Children’s Charity
As a registered charity, our clinic is entirely funded by donations. We kindly invite patients to donate towards the cost of their treatment, where possible.
The true cost to our charity is:
- £100 for an initial assessment
- £50 for follow-up appointments
For families who are unable to contribute, we are committed to ensuring they still receive the care they need—no one is turned away.
If you are in a position to give more, your generosity can make a real difference. Your donation helps us continue to offer expert care to every child and family, regardless of their financial situation.
We are very thankful that the OCC exists because it gives the opportunity to families that can't afford to pay for a private appointment to treat their children.
