Clinic-based learning

Paediatric osteopathy is a highly practical discipline, and your learning is grounded in real clinical experience within our vibrant charity clinic. Each day, our osteopaths see up to 80 patients, providing treatment to families regardless of their ability to donate.

Consultations take place in a friendly, open-plan environment that encourages observation, discussion, and shared learning. This collaborative approach creates a rich educational experience and reflects our innovative teaching model—one that has since been adopted in postgraduate programmes across Europe.

Experience hands-on learning in our busy open-plan clinic. You’ll treat patients presenting with a variety of conditions/concerns and of all ages (newborn babies all the way up to teenagers aged 18 years, as well as pregnant & postnatal women).

Faculty

Our clinical faculty are all practicing paediatric osteopaths, each with their own diverse backgrounds and extensive expertise. Embodying a range of technical approaches, styles, and philosophies, your educational experience is guaranteed to be comprehensive and thorough.

Our faculty is in much demand as guest lecturers on courses and conferences across the world; in recent years Antwerp, Ghent, Vienna, and Poznan, among others.

Kindness principle

Here at the OCC, we believe that kindness is inherent in the good practice of osteopathy. You’ll be supported by our team every step of the way.

Ownership

Osteopaths on our postgraduate training courses each manage their own ongoing patient list. You’ll take ownership of your own patients as you monitor and learn from their progress. Other osteopaths and faculty may assist in treatment, but you will be in charge of the patient’s care.

Care for all

As part of our busy clinic, you’ll be treating a diverse range of patients and conditions. Since 1991, our mission has been to provide expert osteopathic care to babies, children and perinatal mothers, regardless of their ability to contribute towards the cost of care.

The treatment of children is a specialist field that demands excellence in provision of care. If you wish to take the field of paediatrics seriously then you require rigorous paediatric education.
