Course content
This course is designed for osteopaths interested in exploring and developing their skills in the clinical examination of babies. It will explore key areas including:

- Differential diagnosis of the unsettled baby, alongside an osteopathic understanding and perspective on the effects of birth on the body’s structure and their influence on function.
- Legal and practical considerations related to obtaining consent to examine and treat paediatric patients.
- Core principles of diagnostic clinical reasoning and paediatric practice, in the context of paediatric osteopathic practice.
- Clinical presentation and treatment of infants, including the osteopathic management of common infant conditions, such as colic, gastroesophageal reflux, and plagiocephaly
Information
The course runs over two days and includes a mix of lectures, demonstrations, and practical workshops. To ensure high-quality supervision during hands-on practical workshop sessions, places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
