Enzo was born with talipes (clubfoot) on his left side and experienced head asymmetry following a forceps delivery.

His mum, Enrica, recalls, “His head was a bit wonky at the back, and he couldn’t do much tummy time. At six weeks old, we started weekly casting of his foot and leg, which lasted for at least eight weeks. Then he had a tendon cut, followed by wearing boots and bars 23 hours a day for three months.”

While this treatment was essential, it also affected Enzo’s early mobility and development.

“Moving his feet together all the time isn’t what other ‘normal babies’ do. He had to work so much harder just to explore the world like other children his age.”

Now wearing the boots only at night, Enzo has shown incredible resilience and adaptability.

“Babies are so resilient — Enzo has learned to do everything in his boots and bars, turning, moving… everything!”

Enzo’s family turned to the OCC to support his recovery and development.

“Coming to the clinic is helping him get that mobility back in his bones and helping his head to be less wonky.”

With gentle, specialist osteopathic care, Enzo is regaining mobility, improving his alignment, and continuing to thrive. His story highlights how osteopathy can support babies recovering from intensive early interventions, giving them greater comfort, mobility, and the chance to explore the world on their own terms.
